Hotel La Falconara Restaurant and Pizzeria, managed by ‘Il Pellicano S.a.s’, is a 3-star hotel, setting the standard in the hotel and catering sector since 2006.

Carlo Pellicano, director of the hotel and head chef, has thirty years of experience in the restaurant industry. The staff is made up of the most qualified waiters and servers, with degrees from hotel schools and years of professional training.

Competence, professionalism, and elegance is the only way to describe the service that the Hotel La Falconara offers its guests.

Where we are

Hotel La Falconara is located three minutes from the town of Castrovillari in C.da Pietà and 2.5 km from the Frascineto – Castrovillari exit on the Autostrada.

The property is surrounded by the lush green beauty of the Pollino National Park and is just a few minutes from the charming towns of Frascineto, Civita and Morano Calabro. Also, in less than 20 minutes you can reach the charming village of Altomonte and some of the most beautiful beaches of the Ionian coast.

How to reach us

• By car. From the A2 Salerno – Reggio Calabria: take the Frascineto – Castrovillari exit, turn right and continue towards Castrovillari. After about 2.5 km turn left, at the height of the hotel sign and continue.
• By train: the nearest station is Sibari.
• By plane: the nearest airport is Lamezia Terme. The management of the Hotel La Falconara organizes a shuttle service from / to the airport for groups of 6/8 people. For more information and prices, please contact the management.

The territory

Hotel La Falconara Ristorante Pizzeria is located in the heart of a rich land to explore. Within 10 km from us, you can find abundant cultural and nature trails.

A few minutes drive, you can be in downtown Castrovillari, where the historic center and maze of narrow streets, is dominated by the Franciscan Protoconvento and the Aragonese Castle. You can not miss a trip to Morano Calabro, one of the hundred “most beautiful villages in Italy”, with the Monastery of San Bernardino da Siena and the Norman-Swabian Castle.

A particular note of cultural interest in the area surrounding Hotel La Falconara are the historical towns of the Albanian Linguistic Minority such as San Basile, Frascineto and Civita that still keep alive language and traditions, like the vallje of Tuesday after Easter. Frascineto also has the Museum of Icons and the Byzantine Tradition which is worth a visit.

If you love nature, in Civita you can enjoy a real show not created by man: the Gorge of Raganello. Those who enjoy outdoor sports can try their hand at sport climbing on the equipped walls of the Little Dolomites of Frascineto.
